My youngest daughter recently celebrated her 7th birthday.
All she wanted for her big day was a skirt made by mom. Easy enough!

This little skirt was a cinch to sew up! I think it took me about an hour from start to finish.
Miss S picked this Crafty Chloe unicorn print that I had in my stash. It wouldn't have been my first choice in fabric, but when you are 7, happy little crown-wearing girls riding unicorns and trailing flowers is fabric choice #1! Haha! Besides, I know her sweet little youth is fleeting and there will soon come a day that she won't love unicorns and little girls wearing crowns. :(
It was darn near impossible to get a decent picture of her actually wearing the skirt. This is the hastily snapped picture that I texted my husband right before she ran off to the school bus. It's the best I could manage. I chopped off her head because she kept making weird faces. Crazy girl!

Here she is getting ready to blow out her candles.
Don't judge me based on my cake decorating skills, though, I don't profess to be Bakerella!
:)
Happy Birthday, Miss S!
**Fabrics are Crafty Chole Unicorns in Green and Flea Market Fancy Flowers and Dots in Green. Both of which you can still find on Etsy. Polka dot shirt is from Old Navy.

Yeah, some days I wish my girls would still wear unicorn riding princess skirts.
Oh well...happy b-day!
Such a cute skirt. Enjoy her now because they grow up so fast.
And don't worry about the cake - my cakes taste great but look not so good. Kids don't care though - they're so happy it's their birthday you could feed them anything.
Beautiful skirt for a pritty lady!
Love the Crafty Chloe fabric!! Have you guys read the Crafty Chloe books? They are pretty cute.
What a great mom. Hope she had a great day in that beautiful skirt.
