I actually blogged about this quilt way back when while it was still in the process phase.
Now it's another WIP crossed off the list. Yay!
Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine it would turn out so pretty. I mean, I had hoped it would be cool, but... it turned out so fantastic! I guess hot messes can be pretty, too.
I had my quilter do an all over baptist fan pattern for the quilting. (Yep, I jumped on the "Baptist-Fan-Bandwagon.") Again, I LOVE it! For the back I used a fabulous vintage sheet I've been hoarding for a couple of years. It wasn't quite big enough, thus the stripes. Vintage sheets were also used for the border on the front.
This quilt contains: leftover blocks from a couple of doll quilt swaps, my 2 daughters' quilts, a quilt I made from my grandmother's clothes, test blocks, bee blocks, leftover strips from my bed quilt, and pieces from quilts that were started and never finished. So many great blocks and so many great memories tied up in one quilt.
Finished Measurements: 68" x 80"

What a fun quilt!
Oh, I love your quilt! It has such a happy vibe and you'd never know they are orphan blocks. It's so cool that there are so many memories tied up in one quilt, very special!
That is awesome! It's very cool how they all go together and being orphans!! Good for you!!
You did a great job laying out the blocks--the finished design is beautiful. Now I'm starting to wonder how many orphan blocks I have stashed around.
LOVE ! Everything about this is so fabulous. Makes me want to go digging for orphan blocks!
I think this is a great quilt. There's so much going on! Really keeps your eyes moving.
I love this quilt. It just shows that things don't have to match and put together right most everything can look good together. It turned out awesome. I don't know why my posts are coming up from Renae. Mom
How fun! Not only is it really pretty, but all the different memories wrap it all together! I love it!!!!
